At the undergraduate level, I teach the introduction to human communication course and an upper-level course on media entertainment. For graduate students, I teach a course on University Teaching, as well as a seminar on Media Effects.
I currently direct two research teams of students at various levels of the PhD or MA program, as well as supervise a host of honors students and undergraduate research assistants in my lab each year.
I have a strong record of teaching excellence in the classroom and mentoring graduate students. I was honored to receive the college-level Faculty Impact Award in 2018 for my efforts working with students.
